Gilead School of Discipleship was established in September of 2007, as a ministry of Calvary Chapel of Perry. Gilead was significant in Biblical times for its role as a refuge for God's children. It is also noted for its balm, a resin used for medicinal purposes, symbolizing healing and restoration. This is referenced in Jeremiah 8:22; "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?" The balm of Gilead became a metaphor for spiritual healing and divine intervention.

The intention of Gilead School is to be a place of refuge and spiritual growth for families who have put their faith in Jesus Christ. We offer grades k-12 a fully accredited educational program alongside Biblical teaching and spiritual training.
Teachers and administrators aim to create a family environment where students are nurtured in their academic goals and spiritual walks. Students are discipled daily in Biblical truths during morning chapel, prayer, the curriculum, sports, classroom devotions and more!
