As pastors at Calvary Chapel of Perry, we are deeply grateful for the faithful men and women God has called to serve alongside us.
Leadership in the church is not about titles or recognition—it’s about following Jesus’ example of humble service, caring for His people, and keeping our eyes fixed on His Word.
We are blessed with a team that loves the Lord and loves His church. Each leader brings unique gifts, experiences, and a heart to serve, working together to build up the body of Christ and equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).
We invite you to get to know the people who help shepherd, guide, and care for our fellowship.
Our prayer is that you’ll not only see their roles, but also their love for the Lord and their desire to walk alongside you in your journey with Him.
Lead Pastor - Harley Doneburg

In the summer of 1994, while working for my uncle’s Painting Company, he hired a new guy who was a Christian and who played drums on the worship team for Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes. He patiently and loving the shared Christ with me day after day until one day, at the end of the summer, I receive Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. I almost immediately sensed a call to serve the Lord. Somehow in 1996 I met Jeff Guesno, and a handful of us began to pray and seek the Lord and ask Him for a vision to reach people for Christ in Perry NY and the surrounding area. That translated to a prayer meeting and then a coffee shop to reach out to the youth in the town of Perry. The coffee shop included prayer meetings and bible studies. Eventually we close the coffee shop and started the church in 2003. During the coffee shop days I was blessed to serve with Leigha Perry, one of the most amazing people I know. Loving, kind, sensitive and beautiful, but most of all she loved Jesus. We were married in 2001 and now have six amazing children together. We are allowing God to write our story (Ephesians 2:10). Our heart and vision for the church is to have well-loved and fed (Revelation 3:8) children of God.
Associate Pastor - Justin Perry

Growing up in a Christian home, I never had a real walk with Jesus until my senior year in High School. I began to get involved in ministry, and soon found that the most rewarding effort in my life has been to serve Jesus, by serving others.
I met my wife Marissa when I was about 8 years old. We were married about 20 years later and now have 5 awesome boys, and live right here in the Town of Perry.
Along with being the Associate Pastor here, Justin is also the Worship Pastor, as well as the Director/Principle and a teacher here at the Gilead School of Discipleship.
